After some unsuccessful attempts to put a Home icon on a Gnome panel, I came up with the following funky solution: put an application launcher to nautilus on the panel and change the icon appearance from the nautilus shell to home-like. Copying the Home icon from the desktop were unsuccessful. Is there a standard way to do this? If so, what is it?
