The machine is at work so I can't get to it to check for sure until next
week. I have to reboot the system, enable it in the BIOS then use a hardware
lister utility to get the hardware vendor and version. Fedora has a utility
to do this.

I did a Google search and what comes up is a Broadcom BCM57780. Dell isn't
very good about disclosing what hardware they use. Dell, like several
others, like to use custom manufactured motherboards from brand named
vendors in their products, and they don't supply a "manual" like you would
expect from a boxed motherboard. Even if you do find out who made the board
and contact them they won't supply any information, they just tell you to
contact the other company.
