an answer to your last question is that among list you will find
at these pages;

   http://www.redhat.com/mailman/admin
   http://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo
   https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/admin
   https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo
   https://lists.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo

they all have an "owner".

for example, this list is;

  users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

this list's owner is reached by inserting "-owner" after list's
name of "users", to get;

  users-owner@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

a logical way of doing things.

i do not guarantee this will work with all mailman list, but it will
for quite a few.
