yum update yum worked fine yum update PackageKit had the following errors (log attached): Transaction Check Error:file /lib/libblkid.so.1 from install of libblkid-2.16.2-9.fc12.i686 conflicts with file from package e2fsprogs-libs-1.41.9-2.fc11.i586 file /lib/libuuid.so.1 from install of libuuid-2.16.2-9.fc12.i686 conflicts with file from package e2fsprogs-libs-1.41.9-2.fc11.i586 file /sbin/blkid from install of util-linux-ng-2.16.2-9.fc12.i686 conflicts with file from package e2fsprogs-1.41.9-2.fc11.i586 file /sbin/findfs from install of util-linux-ng-2.16.2-9.fc12.i686 conflicts with file from package e2fsprogs-1.41.9-2.fc11.i586 file /sbin/fsck from install of util-linux-ng-2.16.2-9.fc12.i686 conflicts with file from package e2fsprogs-1.41.9-2.fc11.i586 file /usr/bin/uuidgen from install of util-linux-ng-2.16.2-9.fc12.i686 conflicts with file from package e2fsprogs-1.41.9-2.fc11.i586 file /usr/share/man/man1/uuidgen.1.gz from install of util-linux-ng-2.16.2-9.fc12.i686 conflicts with file from package e2fsprogs-1.41.9-2.fc11.i586 file /usr/share/man/man8/blkid.8.gz from install of util-linux-ng-2.16.2-9.fc12.i686 conflicts with file from package e2fsprogs-1.41.9-2.fc11.i586 file /usr/share/man/man8/findfs.8.gz from install of util-linux-ng-2.16.2-9.fc12.i686 conflicts with file from package e2fsprogs-1.41.9-2.fc11.i586 file /usr/share/man/man8/fsck.8.gz from install of util-linux-ng-2.16.2-9.fc12.i686 conflicts with file from package e2fsprogs-1.41.9-2.fc11.i586
... but when I ran yum -y upgrade again it complained about gnuplot so I did yum -y upgrade --skip-broken and that worked.
I've noticed though that my machine has been locking up periodically throughout the day making me do a hard boot. Is there a good way to try and debug that?
Thanks - Tod
