Those files belong into "vlc-core" not "vlc".
Your query is weird, btw, since you should either list files or "Provides"
but both at once makes no sense for what you want to demonstrate.

The full show, please. You don't believe me (and I'm certainly not
an RPM newbie), so quote a full terminal session. I'd like to see the
output of:

  rpm -q vlc
  rpm -ql vlc
  rpm -e -vv vlc
  rpm -q vlc

And then you can run queries for any files found on the filesystem,
such as  rpm -qf /usr/lib/vlc/plugins/visualization/libprojectm_plugin.so
