in initial searching for software for wrt54g, there was not a lot, 4 or 5
different variations.

this last search, just skimming hits, there appeared to be at least twice
as many and i imagine an actual logging would show well more.

i do know that in first searching, there was a lot of negative reports
by people who had 'bricked' system for one reason or other and where
not able to recover for what ever reasons.

as for restoring original, i seem to recall that that was not an option.
once removed, never to restore.

what i am really interested in is a friends wrt54g that i opened up to
look at circuit board, there was an edge connection that was like 5 or
6 contacts. like maybe for a serial connection.

i did search to see if someone may have circuit info, but none showed
in googleing. that may have changed, do not know. have not searched for
such info again.

i would like to find something for this 2wire that i have, but nothing
hits.
