What really pisses me off when I suggest using the non-free (aka working) 
drivers is that I bought cards and laptops which were supported by Linux when I 
bought them. The Radeon drivers are what's broken, not my hardware. In the quest 
for 3D hardware accelerated wiggly whatnots to attract gamers, support for 
normal users who just want a reasonable X experience has gone away.
