This account has Flash loaded in .mozilla/plugins . Firefox here goes to the same place and tells me (in Japanese) to UPDATE FLASH NOW!!!!!! Okay, okay, I've been putting it off and just avoiding PDFs on the 'net because I know people have been having problems with it. So I took the side-trip to adobe.com to see what's up. Not feeling like reading about the current state of Flash in Japanese, I click the linky to set the language. Go back to the Flash update page and it's still Japanese, after refresh. Click the language linky again, check the "save" box. Back to the Flash update and, yep, its still Japanese after refresh. Check my cookies settings, I'm accepting from the site I'm visiting, not accepting from 3rd party. While I'm bouncing between all these pages, I notice Adobe tooting their own PDF horn. "Content!! Content!!! Everything you want, Adobe PDF can give it to you!!!" Adobe has the disease, too. Really don't want to trust them any more, even if I'm installing Flash only locally to each of the two accounts that use it. So I think I see where you're coming from. (I think, when friends ask which computer to buy, from now on I'm recommending that they buy enough RAM and processors to surf from inside a vm.)
