Mark, what do you have after service bluetooh start ? Do you have an exit status 0? Did you check /var/og/messages after running the command? If you receive any other exit status than 0 then your bluetooth is not configured to run at level 5 (maybe you disable it)? Check chkconfig --list bluetooth to see if its configured to run at level 5. If not then issue chkconfig bluetooth on, then the above command again to verify that the command succeeded.
