Actually, you don't need to uninstall the Fedora version to install the 
Mozilla version. I just used the tarball and installed it in 
/home/john/firefox.  Works fine and lets me keep all the pieces if it 
breaks.

FWIW, 3.6.2 seems to work better on my box than 3.5.8.
