I ran into this a few weeks ago and don't remember what fixed it. I know I played with installing/uninstalling various wine related packages. Dumb question: Have you rebooted after running into this error? I think I remember finding something that suggest that as a solution... Maybe there is some environment variable set between the i686 and 64 bit packages that gets things confused which gets cleared during a reboot. Unless you are actually going to run 64bit windows apps I would suggest not installing any wine x86_64 packages.
