My system is really slow on start-up

Dear all!
On my fully (or foolishly) updated F11 system I recently can see
strange behaviour. During boot stage, after all daemons have been
loaded and before entering login/password HDD indicator is lit for
about 30 seconds. At this time the system seems to be really slow - it
takes ages (probably 10 seconds) before asking for password after
login has been entered. And after that it takes additional ~15 seconds
to check the pssw. There's no useful entries in /var/log/messages nor
in dmesg. I have no suspect to work around the problem. Any help will
be appreciated.
Respectfully
