The problem is too many different things described by the word
"automounting".

The HAL and DeviceKit-disks stuff I'm talking about is for things
like nautilus popping up the disk on your desktop when you plug it in.

The other thing named automounter is for making mounts happen the
first time you actually reference the file (good for things like
NIS users home directories).

Depends on which kind of auto mounting you want to control as
to which obscure file full of undocumented gibberish you
need to edit :-).
