The only touchpad computer that I use on a regular basis is my little Acer, and I had to set up a new Mac laptop for a customer. It's the first Mac that I've actually touched since the SE was the latest thing, so I really hadn't much of a clue what I was doing. It took me several minutes to figure out that I had to give the touchpad a really good push to make it register a click; any touchpads I've used on other computers register a gentle tap. I spent quite a while wondering why my clicks didn't appear to be doing anything, but assuming that they were being read.
