certain packages?
Yep. In /etc/yum.conf in the [main] section
put a line like I have:

exclude=freenx nx nxclient freenx-server

(I've got a very old version of freenx that works
flawlessly I don't dare fool with till I'm
forced to upgrade :-).
Awesome!

I did not like the new Amarok 2.x player and using
Amarok 1.4.

Thanks, it worked!
