Loading /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers//radeon_drv.so is followed by several screens listing radeon drivers. Then there are screens full of lines each saying "not using default mode" followed by a size, followed by "(vrefresh out of range)" or in some cases "(hsync out of range)" After some other stuff, there are more such screens -- lots of them. Finally, [btth@Thpd30 log]$ cat Xorg.0.log|most ends with : (II) RADEON(0): Printing probed modes for output LVDS (II) RADEON(0): Modeline "1024x768"x60.0 65.00 1024 1040 1176 1344 768 770$ (II) RADEON(0): Modeline "1024x768"x60.0 65.00 1024 1048 1184 1344 768 771$ (II) RADEON(0): Modeline "800x600"x60.3 40.00 800 840 968 1056 600 601 605$ (II) RADEON(0): Modeline "800x600"x56.2 36.00 800 824 896 1024 600 601 603$ (II) RADEON(0): Modeline "640x480"x59.9 25.18 640 656 752 800 480 490 492 $ > Another idea: you can ssh into yourself, you know? It made the whole screen go black, except for the useless left panel; but I can still get into it from a PC, both with ssh and with ssh -X; and ssh -X with the CLI launch still produces the defective window with swaths missing on the right side and the bottom. -- Beartooth Staffwright, Neo-Redneck Not Quite Clueless Power User I have precious (very precious!) little idea where up is. -- fedora-list mailing list fedora-list@xxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe: https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-list Guidelines: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Communicate/MailingListGuidelines
