We have a few dc7700 with Linux

To get CentOS 5 to work on these, one has to
add

pci=nomsi,nommconf hda=noprobe hdc=noprobe

to the kernel boot parameters.

Without the pci=nomsi,nommconf it doesn't boot,
without the hda=noprobe hdc=noprobe the disk
is terrible slow.

But I don't recall having problems with newer Fedora's
on these machines.
