Not wanting to step on any of the other current threads, I'm starting a new one specific to my issue. F10, KDE 4.2 (just updated today), turned off krandrtray so it won't load at startup on an Acer Aspire One with a 1024x600 screen which makes it really hard to use Evolution. So I'm thinking that when using non-tethered to my KVM and large external monitor, I would get a 1280x1024 screen (which I know it can do because the external monitor can be set to same). Aspire One uses intel 945 video. Created /etc/X11/xorg.conf (per another thread)... # cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf Section "Screen" Identifier "Default Screen" Device "Configured Video Device" DefaultDepth 24 SubSection "Display" Depth 24 Virtual 1280 1024 EndSubSection EndSection but it still is only 1024x600 and I see no way to use the larger virtual setup. xrandr -q (without external display connected) shows... Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 1024 x 600, maximum 1280 x 1024 VGA disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) LVDS connected 1024x600+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 451mm x 113mm 1024x600 60.0*+ 640x480 59.9 Am I missing something?
