Interesting. I wonder why it doesn't work for me with NetworkManager running. We have an unusual network mask: 255.255.252.0 The NIS server + backup are in xxx.xxx.194.xxx while the client is in xxx.xxx.192.xxx. Static IP. Other than that I didn't really do much to configure the machine.
