Picking on ipsum lorem should have shown that a lot of unnecessary text around the bit that needs reading doesn't help. Just quote enough for your reply to be understood. A prior message can be looked at if someone needs to look at logs and configuration files, particularly if your reply isn't actually doing anything with them. You didn't provide any changes to *them*, so there's little point in quoting them complete.
