Need help for configuring PCMCIA network card on Fedora9

I have a Xircom 10/100 56K NIC on my thinkpad and it failed to assign either DHCP or Static.
Fedora doesn't activate the NIC until I take the card out and re-put on PCMCIA.
When I check on ifconfig, card is there without IP but couldn't activate the card even I manually configured.
Please guide me how to fix the problem.
It works under BSD or RedHat9.
