trying to make it do what you want, Mac will only do what it wants, and
you can make it do what you want with Linux.

Think of a mac as a good-looking secretary that also does a good job if you let her do things her own way. You still have a terminal and the ability to compile everything that linux can run, but it's mostly not worth the effort.
