Well, in my case, I've got a Xen server with scripts that
create new virtual machines and provide a hostname that
matches the virtual machine name via the DHCP server on
the Xen box. I definitely found it very irritating that
NM (or anaconda could have done it too) didn't pick up
the name from DHCP.

There are also the other bugs I reported against NM:

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=446631
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=446635

For a replacement that is supposed to be an improvement,
it sure seems to make everything worse instead of improving
it (but it isn't nearly as backward an "improvement" as
the beta version of xorg that shipped with f9 :-).
