Not really. The kernel has no fixed module binary ABI, the X server
likewise. This causes a problem for Nvidia but at the end of the day
there is no reason for the rest of the world with open drivers to wait for
Nvidia to crawl along after them (if Nvidia actually then bothered to
catch up).

So no Fedora didn't break it. The kernel and X simply moved on and Fedora
uses current releases.

Yes (although in my book an nVidia card is not the tool for the job ;))
