The message that Mauriat pointed to contains a spec file with the
chkfontpath requirement removed.  Does that not work?  (I've not tried
it myself, since I don't want or need the MS fonts.  But I don't see
any mention of chkfontpath in the spec there.)

It's not a bug that chkfontpath is no longer in the repo.  It is
intended to die, along with xfs.
