-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I've finally found that the 70-persistent-net.rules file in the /etc/udev/rules.d directory seems to be what is causing the problems with the disk images not finding eth0 and thus not seeing the netowk until the new nic eth1 is setup. I found it I delete the lines about the nic from this file and did the imaging like earlier, it would see the eth0 and boot just fine, and update the file on the next boot. Since this problem didn't exist before the last coupld of updates, I must assume this is something new. Below is the file,. Note: The SUBSYSTEM line is wrapped. # This file was automatically generated by the /lib/udev/write_net_rules # program run by the persistent-net-generator.rules rules file. # # You can modify it, as long as you keep each rule on a single line. # PCI device 0x10b7:0x9200 (3c59x) (custom name provided by external tool) SUBSYSTEM=="net", ACTION=="add", DRIVERS=="?*", ATTR{address}=="00:0a:5e:22:ce:c7", ATTR{type}=="1", NAME="eth0" +----------------------------------------------------------+ Michael D.
