Since about FC5 all you have to do is set up the modem device through system-config-network. Define a new modem, point it at /dev/ttyACM0, put the number to dial as #777, the username your phone@xxxxxxx address and the password as vzw. You're done. No messing with scripts or any of that silliness. -- Thomas
