Hello,
When I started my computer today, my gnome desktop icons had
disappeared. As far as I can recall, I hadn't changed any settings.
When I right click on the desktop, the context menu doesn't appear
either. But the desktop wallpaper remains intact. I can see the files
on Desktop from nautilus though. This is happening only for 1 user.
All other users are fine.
How can I resolve this?

As you didn't get a response, check the /tmp directory and remove any
files associated with our account. I have had this happen from time
to time. Usually caused in association with switch user.
Hi Robin,
Thanks for the reply.
I did sort it out with the help of kind Fedorans at #fedora on Freenode.
I copied all files from .gnom2 directory of another user on the system
and changed the ownership. Everything worked well.
