I found out quite by accident that my cellular provider has a mail to
sms gateway. I sent a text message from my phone to an e-mail address
instead of to another phone, and when it came in I could reply to it via
e-mail and it would come to the phone as sms. I captured my phone's
e-mail address and now my servers send me sms messages all the time.

Give it a try, see if it works.
