Btw, the upper-case WORKSFORME in Rex's reply is just in the style of
bugzilla's ticket Status/Resolution pair "CLOSED/WORKSFORME". Perhaps that
has not been obvious.

The ticket where this issue was filed is: 432492

The fftw library SONAME is in the Amarok dependency-chain. Theoretically,
any package resolver ought to see it and pull in the fftw package. That works
fine here. So, it is not a packaging mistake.

With Yum it is a good idea to do "yum -y update yum" prior to installing
large sets of packages. Perhaps with an older version of yum it was
still possible to miss some dependencies. The posted yum.log is too
short. It's missing the beginning, and it is missing any status details
about whether fftw was available at the time of installing amarok.
It is too easy to remove packages with rpm and other package tools
without logging this in yum.log.
