So instead of actually trying to find out what went wrong and how we could replicate the problem (because something somewhere borked). Lets bitch about it shrug our shoulders and say 'works for me'. Comical. I am willing to try and replicate the issue, and provide as much info as I possibly can. $ rpm -e --test fftw error: Failed dependencies: libfftw3.so.3 is needed by (installed) libofa-0.9.3-10.fc8.i386 [scott@kimbo ~]$ rpm -e --test libofa error: Failed dependencies: libofa.so.0 is needed by (installed) libtunepimp-0.5.3-9.fc8.i386 [scott@kimbo ~]$ rpm -e --test libtunepimp error: Failed dependencies: libtunepimp.so.5 is needed by (installed) amarok-1.4.8-1.fc8.i386 I can see that from the above the dependency checking works so the problem does indeed lie elsewhere. Thanks for your help, I hope that I didn't take up too many cpu cycles... -- Scott Ryan RHCE - 804007426824986
