"Can be" and "are" are two different things.  He is dealing with the DHCP
server that's operated by his ISP, so he's probably stuck with whatever they
choose to run on that end and must find a way to accommodate it.

One thing that may help is if he specifies a DHCP_HOSTNAME is the ifcfg-<interface> file. I believe the GUI offers this option. If not, you can edit the file yourself. But you will probably have to find what the Windows box is using.
