You might have Mesa loaded which is doing with software what your nvidia driver should be doing from hardware. Remove Mesa and re-install the nvidia driver. That'll correct the links from the Mesa supplied ones to your nvidia supplied ones. That's what I had to do for Croquet, which is very very graphic intensive.
