True it is a personal decision but when it breaks who's going to fix it? The downside, in my
opinion to what i term cut and paste computing is that when it breaks you don't know what to do.
If you got your hands dirty putting it together then getting under the hood doesn't scare you and
generally the problem becomes easier to solve. It may not be true in all cases but it helps alot
when you know what went into setting it up vs. relying on a preconfigured notion of what it should
be and having no say in the matter.
