I had a F7 system that played sound with snd-hda-intel with 82801H (ICH8 Family) HD audio Controller.My chip is ALC268 I made a fresh installation and I cannot get any sound (with the sound device tool), and of course there is no sound also in applications: I presume that it is connected to pulseaudio..
