Greetings; Add me to the list of folks who had to nuke as much of pulseaudio as I could without ripping out 2/3rds of kde. And, why couldn't a killall kill it? I had to install htop, highlight its top deamon in the list, and send it a SIGKILL, and the audio started working in the middle of a word instantly. This may be a good utility, but first it has to be able to find ALL installed audio facilities (it only found the nforce2 ac97 crap), not just the crap on the motherboard for starters. And it should NOT putz with an audio system (my SBO-400 audigy 2 value card) it cannot find, that is inexcusable. Now, how can I get rid of the last piece of it?, without being forced to use gnome, or is that the actual under the table agenda here? -- Cheers, Gene "There are four boxes to be used in defense of liberty: soap, ballot, jury, and ammo.
