My bug report above has been marked as a duplicate of this one: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=304021 which references this issue. This bug report in turn is referenced in the F8 Release Notes here: http://docs.fedoraproject.org/release-notes/f8/en_US/sn-Java.html So, keep your eyes on the above bug report for future resolution.
