Aha - I found how to create the fisheye format from a "normal" panorama:

Seems possible to go in the other direction also.  Take a look at
Panorama Tools and see if it will work:
http://www.all-in-one.ee/~dersch/

I'm not sitting in from of my Fedora box, but IIRC it's available to
install via yum.
