I'm having that problem too.

When it says 'running /sbin/loader', press enter.  If the screen scrolls
up one line, then it might not have hung, it might just take a long time.
For me, it took about 5-6 minutes before proceeding.  Just wait longer.
:-)

I did find a better workaround, though.  Try this:

  * Boot the install DVD
  * At the boot menu, hit tab
  * Append one of the following to the end of the line:

      floppy.allowed_drive_mask=0
      clocksource=acpi_pm
      floppy.allowed_drive_mask=0 clocksource=acpi_pm

  * Press enter

I'm not sure which of the three appendages is the best one, but for me any
of them worked fine.
