No so, as I am finding out.
John I am reading the grub info file and it is far better than man
grub. It talks about loading another grub at the MBR of another hard
drive. That might just work.
I read the thing for chainload and it seems you need:
rootnoverify (hd1,0)
makeactive
boot
That is all.
