No futzing required with FC6 or F7.  iPod's are detected and mounted
automatically.

I suppose for some that is true.  I actually feel hobbled when I play
with iTunes at my friends and parents.  At least gtkpod allows me to
connect multiple iPods and copy songs back off of them when I want.
