Hello Chris,

How do you add yourself to the "uucp" group?

Thanks Mikkel for the info. However, despite all this, there are still
individuals out there that have some degree of success with their Palm
Devices.

Add yourself to the 'uucp' group.

Or:
cp /usr/share/pilot-link/udev/60-libpisock.rules /etc/udev/rules.d/

Then "tail -f /var/log/messages" and hit the sync button. Point
J-Pilot to the device that is created.

Chris

PS - sounds like you're volunteering to write the udev rules?

Go to System -> Administration -> Groups and Users and follow instructions. I joined to be in that group and it is real useful :-)
