i'm also curious about this bit later on:

...
insmod /lib/scsi_wait_scan.ko
rmmod scsi_wait_scan
...

so ... insmod the module, only to remove it immediately?  i'm sure
there's a reason for that, i'd just like to know what it is.  thanks.
