If you're a true glutton for punishment, try learning emacs. ;-)
I must protest here - There is nothing wrong with emacs ;)Its my editor of choice, and IMHO much easier to learn than vim (or vi) which I've never managed to get on with in the slightest. If I need a console mode editor and just use 'emacs -nw' !
