It comes with the kernel. ipw3945 is the old driver for the wireless card, and iwlwifi is an older name for new iwl3945 driver. > And which impact to the name of the interface has which driver? > I hate to rename all occurences of "wlan0" :-( If you stick with the default name (I'm thinking eth[0-9] for iwl3945), you should be fine.
