Confusion Iwlwifi/iwl3945/ipw3945

I'm confused.

In my Lenovo C200 an Intel 3945ABG works. Currently using the iwl3945 driver.

But there 2 other drivers around. 
So my question is "Which driver ist best?"

                         [ ] iwl3945
                         [ ] ipw3945
                         [ ] iwlwifi

And which impact to the name of the interface has which driver?
I hate to rename all occurences of "wlan0" :-(
