IIRC recently there was a change to the version of iwl3945 firmware that
was required by the newer driver... on F7 you needed at least

iwlwifi-firmware-2.14.3-2

If that's the problem then you'll see something about it in dmesg.  The
firmware is part of Fedora, maybe try installing it (in the case you
added the older firmware by hand from the driver project site) or
updating it.
