Ok that didn't change a thing. I did look closer at the output and it looks to me like it just can't get the disk drives into a mode it likes. It sees the hard drive, identifies it, but it can't program the controller.
The doubled keystroke thing is annoying as hell.
Even forcing it to load the 'ahci' driver doesn't help.
Would trying the 7.9 release help?
