My current kernel is 2.6.21-1.3228.fc7 (x86_64). The file that it is
complaining about (/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.21-1.3228.fc7) is there!

kqemu has not been built for the newer kernel you are trying to install and depends on the older version and that's what the error message says.
