USB automount fails

Okay. So I plugged in my USB stick to my laptop after all the latestupdates (today) and I got this error:org.freedesktop.Hal.PermissionDenied. I looked in Places and it wasthere but I couldn't access it. I googled the error text and one of thesolutions was to use system-config-services and enable the ConsoleKitservice. I did that and did a Ctrl-Alt-Bksp (maybe not necessary) andnow I can access the drive fine.

This kind of behavior is definitely NOT user-friendly and while it maybe trivial for me and many subscribers of this list, the typicalend-user would be lost.
